Free iPhone 4 PSD
I made an iPhone 4 icon using only Photoshop’s Layer Shapes, so it should be fully scalable. I’m releasing the PSD to anyone who’s interested. It’s free for both personal & commercial use, though I would like to be mentioned. Also, should you use it in any of your projects, let me know!

usersillusions:
Steve Krug’s ‘Don’t Make Me Think’ was first published 10 years ago this month. Personally I would rank it as one of the most influential and inspiring books I’ve read on design and usability, second only to Zeldman’s ‘Designing with Web Standards’.
I have read comparably important design…

Face Value
About a week ago, I asked my readers about their opinions on my rock85 blog, the one you’re reading now. Consensus was that starting a second blog was a good way to go and I took your advice to heart.
So I just started a new blog on UI design and general usability called “Face Value”, which is where I’ll be posting all things I find or write on the subject of interfaces...

For me, the Mac OS X Finder has been broken since 10.0 was released. It’s a hassle to move files from one location to another.
I’ve been using this TotalFinder plug-in for a couple weeks now to add much-needed tabs to the Finder. I’m discovering, however, that tabs aren’t the right UI pattern for what I need. Instead, Transmit-esque, side-by-side panes would probably be more...
